There is no place else like Beech Mountain Resort in NC. The activities include something for all ages and fitness levels - andfun during all seasons. Winter sports include skiing, snowboarding and tubing. While summer time has everything from scenic lift rides, to mountain biking to yoga above the clouds. And the Summer Concert Series brings amazing acts every year.
Summer
The cool summer temps make Beech Mountain a great time to be outside. The slopes are transformed into a network of mountain biking trails. Take a scenic lift ride to the top for yoga, live music and incredible views. A unique offering is a disc golf course - similar to regular golf but with frisbees. And the Summer Concert Series brings in great acts to enjoy under the stars.

Winter
Beech Mountain Resort opened in 1967 and is the highest ski area in Eastern America. We are lucky to have this minutes from each of our doorsteps. The trails range from Green (easy) to Black Diamond (most difficult). Peak elevation is 5,506 feet. The resort is complete with tubing, restaurants, sport shops, rental facility and lots of alpine ambience. During peak periods we recommend purchasing lift tickets in advance.

​The Town of Beech Mountain maintains a free sledding hill Designed for kids ages 12 and under, parents or other responsible adults are allowed on sleds with preschoolers. Natural snow is enhanced by a snow gun when needed, so there’s plenty of good sledding to go around.
